An important principle discussed in the book is that you have to hold positive expectations in your head. You have to believe you can reach your goals.
Tug McGraw, pitcher for the world champion 1980 Phillies and father of country signer Tim McGraw discusses how he as a child would pitch to his father in their back yard and they would pretend it was the bottom of the ninth inning of the World Series, with two men on base and the third at bat. Every time he would bear down and strike out the batter. This visualization helped him to throw the winning pitch at the 1980s World Series.
Excerpt From: Jack Canfield & Janet Switzer, “The Success Principles(TM).”
“Later, Tim told me that most people fail not because they lack the skills or aptitude to reach their goal but because they simply don’t believe they can reach it”
We often do not realize just how capable we can be if we just put our minds to it. They key is that we need to have faith in ourselves. We need to allow ourselves to dream big. Like the saying "Go big or go home." We have to be in the game in order to win it. The more positive you are about your future, the more opportunities will become apparent. I think we all need to remind ourselves to dream big and the possibilities will be endless.
It's a great book that makes you want to think big. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to be successful in life.
